About the Role
The Risk & Compliance Officer - Application Data Services role at Booking.com partners with risk owners and stakeholders to design and maintain internal controls in line with risk appetite. This role supports risk management, policy governance, third party risk, and customer trust while ensuring control execution across MySQL operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support risk owners in designing and implementing internal controls.
- Participate in sprint planning for risk identification and treatment.
- Manage IT policy lifecycle and compliance documentation.
- Oversee Level 1 operations, audit responses, and change management.
- Monitor compliance tickets and maintain continuous process improvements.
Team & Environment
Work with the MySQL-Service Discovery team that builds and operates critical service discovery solutions for thousands of MySQL databases. Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and SRE peers while contributing to data-driven decision making and risk mitigation at Booking.com.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in business analysis, auditing, internal controls or risk management.
- Strong stakeholder management and technical understanding of internal control requirements.
