Google Cloud Architect at Kyndryl

The Role: Infrastructure Architect
This is a technical leadership position where you will act as the subject matter expert for clients. Your responsibilities include consulting, gathering inputs, understanding client needs, defining Kyndryl's solutions, designing optimal architectures, and leading the technical implementation. You will leverage your full talent and experience to bring vision, knowledge, and leadership to each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design advanced cloud solutions on GCP, including modernization and migration strategies.
- Define and own architecture for GKE, Anthos, and GCVE-aligned solutions.
- Enforce industry best practices for cloud security, governance, data protection, backup, and user management.
- Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation initiatives.
- Perform periodic architecture reviews and recommend enhancements.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, cloud engineering teams, and vendor support.
- Support SMEs during critical incidents with deep technical expertise.
- Document customer environments, technical frameworks, and architectural blueprints.
- Deliver internal training on new cloud services and features.
- Drive performance monitoring, optimization, and cloud governance.
- Provide ongoing technical leadership and establish best practices.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Design and implement enterprise-grade GCP architectures (compute, storage, networking, security)
- Define and govern multi-tier, highly available, and scalable cloud architecture
- Architect GCP Landing Zones aligned with security, compliance, and organizational standards
- Lead cloud-native application architecture using microservices and container-based patterns
- Enable CI/CD pipelines and automation using DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Collaborate with development teams on Cloud Developer / DevOps best practices
- Contribute to emerging Agentic AI use cases and cloud-based intelligent automation initiatives
- Act as a trusted technical advisor
- Produce architecture blueprints, HLDs/LLDs, governance models, and documentation
