About the Role: Associate, ML Data Operations
This team plays a crucial role in enabling automation within Amazon Robotics Fulfillment centers. By providing real-time and offline data auditing services, including image and video analysis, the team supports Amazon's internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics teams. A key contribution of this position is maintaining inventory accuracy across fulfillment centers.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate, ML Data Operations, you will meticulously review video footage of stowing actions in fulfillment centers. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately interpret these videos, utilizing human judgment alongside provided tools and resources to precisely identify and mark product locations. This process is vital for upholding the stow quality and defect reduction within the fulfillment network. This is an operational role requiring a high degree of accuracy and speed in video/image audits under general supervision.
- Watch several hundred videos per shift, adhering to accuracy, speed, and best practice goals.
- Ensure 6.8 to 7 hours of daily video review, with pre-defined breaks.
- Maintain a dedicated home workspace with appropriate equipment (table, chair, lighting) if working remotely.
- Ensure work-related data is only accessible by the employee.
Candidate Expectations
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Willingness to undertake a non-tech, contract role for 6 months.
- Ability to audit various media types: image, video, and text-based jobs.
- Proficiency in discerning details from potentially blurry or low-quality videos, providing accurate responses.
- High level of sustained attention and focus on screen tasks.
- Commitment to achieving incremental quality and productivity targets.
- Capacity for fast-paced implementation and consistent performance.
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including nights, within remote teams.
- Exceptional teamwork skills.
- Readiness to occasionally work from the office if required (for remote associates).
- Willingness to use a laptop camera during virtual meetings.
A Day in the Life
Associates operate within a 24x7 environment, working rotational 9-hour shifts which include pre-scheduled breaks. Shift timings are subject to change every 3-4 months or as business needs dictate. Night shift allowances will be provided as per Amazon's applicable work policy when working night shifts.
Weekly offs are rotational, comprising two consecutive days off (a 5-day working week), which may not necessarily be Saturday and Sunday, or as business discretion permits.
About the Team
The Data Auditing Operations team provides essential human support to Amazon Fulfillment facilities. Their objective is to enable hands-free active stowing by performing visual audits on short videos (typically 15-20 seconds) of products being stored. Associates' thorough review and auditing using human judgment significantly enhance the effectiveness of automated processes and contribute to maintaining stow quality. Performance improvements and coaching are integral to this role.
Basic Qualifications
