About the role
About the role
The Managed Care Systems Administration Specialist is a member of the MVC Systems Administration and Reporting team. Specialists should have a history of supporting enterprise practice management systems as well as supporting technologies. They typically spend much of their time working in cross-functional teams to maintain effective systems that support office insurance billing as well as revenue cycle processes. Specialists will often partner with our revenue cycle and operations teams to standardize the build and maintenance of systems data but also to identify opportunities for improvement.
You Will
- Work closely with Revenue Cycle and automation teams to help find the best available solution for changing needs.
- Provide daily maintenance and support to several of our business systems including data entry, data normalization and output tracking.
- Perform necessary system testing for the department prior to scheduled system updates.
- Monitor system functions and performance to ensure daily efficiency and accuracy in insurance billing calculations and processing.
- Generate financial and performance reports for the department to support daily functions and workflows
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of MyEyeDr. Office processes, especially related to insurance and Managed Vision Care.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Managed Vision Care team, functions and processes in order to knowledgably resolve requests.
- Exercise technical adaptability in a variety of MVC system platforms in order to support evolving Managed Care processes within MyEyeDr.
- Become an expert in a certain part of our product/systems and have a clear understanding of the current pain points and business problems that the company is facing.
- Leverage system data and reporting to identify areas of high impact.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on existing systems for maximum support, scalability and effectiveness.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate and maintain routine and ad hoc reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
About You
- High School degree/GED Required, Associates Degree, preferred
- 1+ years working in practice management systems
- 1+ years revenue cycle/insurance billing experience, optometry preferred
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
- Fast ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems and processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Ability to identify efficiencies in workflows/processes and implement improvement
