Job Description

About Mutiny's Customer Experience Team

Hi, I'm Lisa, and I lead the Customer Experience team at Mutiny. This team owns the most important metrics in our business: time to value, retention, and growth of our customer base. We are, above everything else, obsessed with our customers. Not in a surface-level way — we want every person who works with us to feel like a confident product and growth expert, like they're learning something valuable from every interaction, and like working with Mutiny is genuinely unlike any other vendor relationship they've had.

As the foundational CX team, we are culture creators and culture keepers. We set the bar for what it means to work in CX at Mutiny, and we build the DNA we'll pass on to every person who joins this team after us.

Growth Strategist Role Overview

I'm hiring a Growth Strategist — our version of a Customer Success Manager — to work directly with our customers and help them get the most out of Mutiny. This role sits at the intersection of customer success and marketing strategy. You'll be a trusted advisor, a creative problem solver, and a product expert all at once. If you're hungry to grow, love seeing customers win, and want to help build something from the ground up — I'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Own a book of managed accounts — every customer who isn't on a self-serve plan — from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
  • Teach customers how to use Mutiny's AI-native platform to create assets that move the needle for their marketing and sales teams.
  • Ensure customers feel supported every step of the way.
  • Document and share learnings from individual customers to improve team-wide strategies.
  • Contribute to building a strong CX culture and customer success playbook.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Obsessed with customer outcomes and their success.
  • Enjoys becoming an expert in products and customer businesses to connect them effectively.
  • Skilled at building trust quickly through empathy and clear communication.
  • Communicates with precision, explaining complex concepts simply.
  • Scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity in an early-stage environment.
  • Proactive in thinking about retention and demonstrating customer value.

Reasons This Role Might Not Be a Fit

  • If you prefer a small, focused book of accounts with slow-moving relationships.
  • If you require a fully built playbook before starting; this role involves shaping processes.
  • If you are primarily motivated by variable compensation; this role focuses on adoption and customer health.

What You Bring

  • 4–6 years in a CSM, agency, or account management role with ownership of renewal and expansion, ideally in marketing or sales technology.
  • Genuine empathy for B2B marketers and sellers and strong intuition for how to help companies grow.
  • Strong project management instincts to keep things moving, stay organized, and follow through.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • A high bar for yourself and for the work; communicate what's working and what needs to change.
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to, New York City.

What You'll Get Out Of It

  • Direct line to fast-growing B2B companies and associated credibility.
  • Exposure to real business problems (growth, retention, value) for career development.
  • A chance to leave a lasting mark on Mutiny's customer experience and accelerate learning.
  • Work that feels meaningful and aligns with company values.
  • Integral role in building the NYC office culture from the ground up.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $130,000–150,000
  • Equity and full benefits (100% medical, dental, and vision).
  • Flexible PTO and generous parental leave.
  • Daily team lunch, great coffee, regular in-office events.
  • A team that genuinely likes spending time together.
