The Opportunity
Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) is seeking a motivated Biostatistician Research Assistant for a 12-month full time contract with potential extension. This role offers a unique opportunity to use biostatistics expertise on the landmark Trans20 longitudinal study, which supports the health and wellbeing of trans and gender diverse young people.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct statistical analysis and data processing for observational studies.
- Contribute to research protocol design and analysis plans.
- Prepare content for peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
- Support skill development of students and staff.
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and community stakeholders.
- Uphold ethical research standards and data confidentiality.
What We Need From You
- Postgraduate degree in biostatistics, applied statistics or related field.
- Strong statistical computing skills with Stata and/or R.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings under deadlines.
- Interest or experience in transgender health is highly regarded.
