About the Role: Multilingual Data Annotator
We are actively seeking L1 speakers of Polish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, English, and Russian for an ongoing ASR post-editing and annotation project. This is a freelance position offering consistent work throughout the year.
Task
- ASR post-editing strictly following client-provided guidelines.
- Accuracy is paramount to prevent misunderstandings and ensure high-quality data.
- Files containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or exhibiting very poor audio quality must be identified, flagged, and appropriately skipped.
Workflow
Work is performed using Google Sheets, enhanced by an extension that populates the ASR transcript and integrates an embedded audio player for efficient processing.
Project Details
- File length typically ranges from 15 to 30 seconds.
- Anticipated volume offers between 25–50 hours of audio per month.
- This is an ongoing engagement, providing continuous work opportunities throughout the year.
Requirements
- L1 proficiency in the main working language (Polish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, English, or Russian).
- Possession of strong listening and written language skills.
- Proven experience in transcription, ASR post-editing, or linguistic data annotation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to high accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently follow intricate client guidelines.
- Comfortable and proficient working within Google Sheets and various web-based tools.
- Adept at identifying and appropriately flagging PII and low-quality audio content.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with ASR systems or speech technology projects.
- Familiarity with data privacy and confidentiality standards.
