Overview
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is one of the world’s leading financial groups with a global network and 350 years of history. As part of the IT Planning, Reporting and Administration department, this role is embedded within the Project Promotion team to deliver EMEA and global projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
Main Purpose of the Role
The Project Manager - Infrastructure AVP plans, directs and governs one or more technology projects ensuring compliance with the project delivery framework, managing scope, budget, timelines, change, and reporting obligations. The role encompasses both IT and non-IT projects while ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and strong governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of project delivery from initiation to closure.
- Establish baseline plans, milestones and transparent reporting using golden source data.
- Run and manage steering committees and working groups, ensuring actions and risks are effectively monitored.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders, central PMO and senior management.
- Oversee budget control, change management and compliance with financial controls.
Work Experience & Skills
Essential experience includes a minimum of 5 years in project delivery for financial institutions. You should have proven expertise in investment budget management, resource planning, risk and change management, and project/programme governance. Preferred qualifications include a strong understanding of banking regulations and relevant project management certifications (e.g., Prince2, PMI, Six Sigma).
