About the role
Your Purpose
Join our new MSC Cruises Excellence Hub in Valencia as an IT Manager and take ownership of the technology landscape enabling a fast-growing, high-volume operation. In this role, you will oversee IT infrastructure, systems implementation, end-user computing, and technical support, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable operations that support cruise booking activities.
Aligned with MSC Cruises’ global IT strategy and digital transformation roadmap, you will ensure systems and services are delivered in accordance with HQ standards and guidelines, empowering teams to perform at their best and deliver excellence. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will build and maintain a resilient, high-performance technology ecosystem, supporting both operational platforms and end-user devices to enable an exceptional booking experience.
Your Impact
Technology Infrastructure Leadership
- Lead greenfield IT buildout from setup through launch
- Deploy and maintain hub technologies, CRM integrations, telephony, WFM tools, and monitoring systems
- Design and implement network, security, and high-availability architectures including failover procedures
- Ensure all infrastructure aligns with MSC Cruises HQ standards, policies, and architectural guidelines
Operational Technology Excellence
- Actively interact with Headquarter to ensure seamless integration with global MSC Cruises’ IT systems while managing local Spanish/EU data compliance (GDPR)
- Coordinate vendor management for telecom providers, hardware, cloud services, and local Valencia suppliers
- Oversee end-user computing environment including laptops, peripherals, and workplace technology
- Ensure provisioning, lifecycle management, and support of user hardware in line with corporate standards
- Provide hands-on support across voice/chat/email channels with rapid response to downtime or service issues
Strategic IT Alignment
- Align global IT roadmap with site goals for uptime, scalability, cost efficiency, and seasonal volume handling
- Assess cyber threats, integration risks, and automation opportunities to drive booking efficiency
- Full autonomy on daily operations, vendor selection, and minor investments

- 5-7 years in IT operations or infrastructure management
- Experience with new site setups advantageous; hands-on expertise deploying telephony, WFM, and monitoring systems

- Proven success delivering stable operations during high-pressure launches and peak seasons
Education
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required, relevant certifications preferred
