mPokket is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President of Technology to lead and manage multiple engineering teams. This role is pivotal in defining and driving the technology roadmap, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and fostering innovation. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to achieve key objectives and establish engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Product team and Business stakeholders to achieve key objectives.
- Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, including Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Developers.
- Define and drive the technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Ensure high-quality product delivery, scalability, and performance of applications.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
- Drive architecture decisions for scalable and reliable systems.
- Manage resource planning, hiring, and team development.
- Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery.
- Implement and improve DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
- Mentor senior engineers and engineering managers to build strong leadership within teams.
- Manages software development by setting requirements, goals and timelines.
- Design strategies for future development plans based on the company's overall objectives and resources.
- Monitor reliability, performance of all internal systems, and suggest improvements.

- Hands-on, in-depth experience with architecture, application development, QA and DevOps.
- Extensive experience with both cloud and on-premise technologies.
- Big Data/ML experience is a plus.
