About The Role
As a Staff Security Engineer, Product Security at Mozilla, you will protect Mozilla's vision by building, testing, and hardening products that prioritize user privacy and safety. This remote-friendly role is open to candidates in the US and Canada.
What You’ll Do
- Safeguard millions of users by integrating security into Firefox, Mozilla VPN, and other products.
- Embed security throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Conduct proactive threat modeling, security assessments, and automated testing.
- Perform security code reviews and lead penetration testing on various platforms.
- Develop automated security tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineers and guide security best practices.
- Shape Mozilla's security culture through collaboration, guidance, and education.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on product and application security experience.
- Expertise in secure coding practices and security testing tools (SAST, DAST).
- Experience with languages like Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
- Proficiency in security tools (Burp Suite, Nessus) and CI/CD automation.
