About This Team And Role

The Revenue Data Science team collaborates with Business Development and Finance to evaluate revenue growth opportunities and translate usage data into business-relevant insights. Their work directly informs prioritization, investment decisions, and the long-term growth strategy for Firefox.

This Senior Data Scientist, Revenue and Business role is a highly business-facing position. You will focus on shaping ambiguous questions, guiding data-driven decisions, and ensuring analytical outputs are accurate and actionable. The role emphasizes strong judgment, communication, and influence, all supported by robust technical execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate and compare multiple revenue growth opportunities to inform Business Development prioritization, investment decisions, and negotiation strategy.
  • Develop clear analytical frameworks to assess trade-offs, risks, and expected impact across competing options.
  • Produce executive-ready reporting and dashboards that translate complex analyses into concise, decision-oriented narratives.
  • Design measurement plans to evaluate new growth initiatives and validate assumptions over time.
  • Ensure high standards of data validation and accuracy for analyses surfaced to senior leadership.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied quantitative roles, with a track record of influencing business decisions through data.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for analysis, modeling, and validation.
  • Strong business judgment and stakeholder management skills, including comfort assessing trade-offs and pushing back on assumptions when needed.
  • Practical experience with statistical analysis and experiment design, applied to real-world business problems.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with multiple viable options, delivering directional insights with clear rationale.
  • High standards for data accuracy, validation, and reproducibility, particularly for executive-facing work.
