Primary Purpose

The Quality Assurance Technician - Trainee (1st Shift) position at Mountaire Jobs is designed to train candidates in various aspects of food quality and food safety. The role includes learning compliance with SOPs, FSIS regulatory standards, Animal Welfare, and GFSI requirements, ensuring product compliance with internal and customer specifications.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor production processes to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Inform supervisor and take steps if specifications are not met.
  • Calibrate tools and equipment.
  • Perform technical projects and assignments.
  • Conduct and record regulatory, SSOP, SOP, and Quality Attribute tests.
  • Communicate testing results to management.
  • Manage time effectively and participate in training to develop skills.
  • Follow all company safety regulations and SOPs supporting the Goal Zero mission.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Ability to follow directions and training procedures.
  • Familiarity with computers.
  • Advanced training provided to increase competencies.
