Overview

The Payroll & Workforce Management Project Lead at Mountain Warehouse is responsible for supporting the UAT and go-live preparation phases of a Dayforce implementation across Australia and New Zealand. This role involves validating the solution, managing UAT activities, leading parallel payroll testing, and ensuring operational readiness through comprehensive documentation and SOP development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead UAT planning and execution for payroll and workforce management processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed test scripts, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with business users, technical teams, and the Dayforce vendor.
  • Manage test defect logging, triage, and resolution with timely feedback.
  • Oversee parallel payroll runs and reconcile results between legacy and new systems.
  • Develop SOPs for end-users including payroll processing, exception handling, reporting, and workforce management tasks.
  • Contribute to go-live readiness planning and support change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and business policies in AU and NZ.
  • Provide hyper care support post go-live including issue triage and technical escalation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Dayforce (Ceridian) or similar implementations, a strong grasp of payroll processes and legislation in Australia and New Zealand, experience in writing test scripts and leading UAT, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Hands-on experience with parallel payroll reconciliation and the development of comprehensive SOPs is essential.
