Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Facility Security Officer to manage our National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and oversee all aspects of our facility’s security profile. As product sales scale to federal agencies, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and ensure compliance and readiness for high-level contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance Management: Administer the NISP and maintain compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) while keeping the Facility Clearance in good standing.
• Personnel Security (PERSEC): Manage security clearances via DISS and NBIS, including fingerprinting and briefings.
• Physical & Technical Security: Oversee secure areas, access control systems, and proper storage/handling of classified hardware and prototypes.
• Security Education: Develop and deliver annual security awareness training and Insider Threat programs.
• Inspections & Audits: Prepare for DCSA security reviews, ensuring favorable inspection ratings through meticulous record keeping.
• Contract Support: Review contract security classification specifications to meet federal security requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

A minimum of 3–5+ years of experience as an FSO or Assistant FSO is required. Candidates should have expert-level proficiency in systems such as DISS, NISS, and NBIS, along with excellent communication skills and high integrity. U.S. citizenship and legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely are mandatory.

Additional Information

This role is subject to high security area protocols and requires passing a stringent fingerprint background check. Travel requirements are under 10% and relocation is not provided. The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 USD along with various U.S. benefits.
