Mission Summary

As a Software Engineer Simulation Infrastructure, you will advance our offboard testing pipeline by developing simulation cloud and local hardware infrastructure, automating testing processes, and interfacing with both infrastructure and autonomy teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support cloud simulation infrastructure scaling, cost analysis, and scenario creation.
  • Automate Hardware in the Loop (HIL) bench health and accessibility.
  • Implement release management automation between software components.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to resolve release blockers.
  • Data mine for insights to optimize tools and processes.
  • Ensure active HIL bench maintenance with critical pipelines.
  • Improve UI/UX for simulation and software release processes.
  • Enhance triage automations and processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Linux, Python, and interfacing with databases (SQL, Postgres, Trino).
  • 2+ years working with C++ and Git/CI/CD.
  • 1+ year experience with hardware, sensors, low voltage electrical, and AWS Cloud.
  • Strong communication skills and cross-functional team experience.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronics with Software option.

Bonus Points

  • Simulation experience and OSC2, YAML simulation scenario experience.
  • GitLab CI/CD design and Docker containerization.
  • Prior experience in autonomous driving.

Working Conditions

This hybrid role is based in Pittsburgh, PA or Las Vegas, NV. It requires some on-site Hardware in the Loop work and cross-team collaborations. Familiarity with basic electrical systems and safety protocols is necessary when working directly on HIL equipment.
