Job Description
Summary
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Executive I - Wind who is responsible for providing overall management for large projects, leading the project team, and ensuring key and successful customer relations, as well as assisting operating groups with winning work. This individual will have the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain successful customer and community relationships
- Conduct key customer service visits from pre-construction to close-out
- Preview proposals and participate in Request for Proposal process
- Act as primary customer contact for assigned projects
- Support business development initiatives and maintain customer relationships
- Provide oversight and accountability for large projects
- Manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, and invoices
- Maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for profitable delivery
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction management overseeing large projects
- Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level.
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Current driver’s license

- Ability to travel up 50-75%

Salary Information
The base pay range for this role is $168,100 – 252,200. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
