About the Role

The Civil Operator IV Traveler at Mortenson is responsible for operating heavy equipment across multiple locations while ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Locations

This position requires travel to various sites including Omaha, NE; Reno, NV; Rayville, LA; El Paso, TX; and Lebanon, IN.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, scrapers, graders, and more.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and maintain orderly work areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and observe equipment for malfunctions.
• Adhere to work plans and pre-task preparations.
• Collaborate with team members and build relationships across diverse levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required equipment certifications.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Valid driver's license with proper endorsements.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
