Overview
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant MEP Project Manager who can interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. This role demands flexibility, resourcefulness, and confidentiality with a proactive approach to problem-solving throughout project lifecycles from bid preparation to client acceptance.
Responsibilities
- Perform cost control, financial management, and project estimate coordination.
- Coordinate scopes of work, review pay applications, and compile change requests.
- Partner with Project Manager and Construction Executive on proposals and contracts.
- Lead, mentor, and assign tasks to project team members.
- Manage subcontractors, oversee budget recommendations, and lead project closeout activities.
- Direct 3-D coordination and manage commissioning and quality plans.
- Occasionally perform on-site Project Manager duties on small scope projects.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required. Minimum five years of related experience (preferably with a mechanical or electrical contractor) is ideal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project related web applications along with excellent written and verbal communication skills is expected.

Additional Information
This role offers visa sponsorship and comes with a competitive base pay range of $99,500 to $134,300 depending on location and experience. Mortenson is a top builder, developer, and EPC with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and long-term impact in the built environment.
