Privacy & Data Security Analyst

At MoFo, we couldn’t write our own success story without yours. Join MoFo as a Privacy & Data Security Analyst on our Information Technology team and help integrate privacy requirements in our security and compliance frameworks across multiple offices.

Role Responsibilities

Privacy Intake, Triage, and Operational Execution:

• Operate the firm’s privacy intake process and monitor requests.
• Track requests through completion with clear ownership and documentation.
• Coordinate workflow artifacts such as DSARs, PIAs, and DPIAs.
• Escalate high-risk matters as needed.

Embedded Privacy-by-Design within Security-by-Design:

• Gather key inputs regarding data use and retention.
• Prepare summaries detailing processing context and risk.
• Promote repeatable standards and playbooks.

Third Party and System Review Support:

• Support vendor onboarding with data minimization focus.
• Partner with Procurement and document outcomes.
• Maintain review artifacts and route issues to Legal.

Data Inventories, Records, and Evidence Management:

• Conduct structured data inventory activities.
• Maintain defensible processing records.
• Support audits and client inquiries with organized documentation.

Notices, Disclosures, and Training Support:

• Coordinate privacy notice updates and maintain version control.
• Support internal guidance and training content administration.

Privacy-Related Incident Support:

• Document and route privacy incidents with appropriate escalation.
• Maintain records for audit and regulatory purposes.

About You

Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in privacy, compliance, and governance. You have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for precise documentation, and proficiency in Microsoft 365 and related tools. Experience with vendor onboarding, InfoSec processes, and privacy-by-design principles is essential.
