The Role
The Associate Product Manager at Morningstar is an execution-focused role ideal for aspiring product managers. You will support the full product lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering to delivery and adoption, while assisting in maintaining a well-prioritized backlog.
Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & Research: Gather and analyze customer feedback, usage data and market trends; support user research; translate customer problems into actionable insights.
Backlog & Roadmap Management: Collaborate with senior product managers, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and contribute to roadmap discussions.
Delivery & Execution: Work with engineering and design teams during sprints to clarify requirements, track progress, and conduct user acceptance testing.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate updates and release plans internally, prepare presentations and documentation, and support adoption initiatives.
Metrics & Impact Tracking: Help define success metrics, monitor product performance, and gather key learnings from product launches.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. 2-5 years experience in product management, business analysis or a related role; strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills; excellent communication skills; familiarity with agile methodologies and proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence or Trello; exposure to wireframing, prototyping or data analysis tools is preferred.
Work Environment & Additional Details
Morningstar offers a hybrid work environment with four days in-office each week in most locations. Additional benefits are available to enhance flexibility. Certain compliance requirements regarding personal investments may apply based on location and department.
