Job Description
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to own and evolve our entire automation infrastructure. You'll be responsible for building, documenting, and maintaining all automation systems that power our operations and customer experience.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Architecture
- Plan and architect workflows across our existing tech stack
- Design scalable automation systems aligned with business needs
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations through automation
Build & Deploy
- Create automation workflows using Make.com, n8n, Zapier, Airtable, Close.com, and other platforms
- Build internal systems for team operations and efficiency
- Develop customer-facing workflows and integrations
Documentation & Maintenance
- Create comprehensive backend documentation for all automations
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems
- Optimize workflows for efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Proven experience with Make.com, n8n, and Zapier
- Strong knowledge of Airtable and Close.com (or similar CRMs)
- Experience building complex, multi-step automation workflows
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and platform integrations
- Experience with error handling and workflow debugging
Work Style
- Ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on reliability
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with JavaScript/Python for custom integrations
- Familiarity with AI/automation tools and APIs
- Background in education/coaching business operations
- Experience scaling automation systems in high-growth environments
