Join the best engineering team in media. Morning Brew Inc. is looking for a passionate Full Stack Software Engineer II to join its small, tight-knit engineering team. We build incredible products using modern technology to innovate in the media space. We develop and ship quickly, we test and learn and iterate. We have a high level of ownership. We are subject matter experts but understand the business context and architecture of the entire stack.

What You'll Do

  • Building out new and enhancing existing internal tools, consumer facing websites & newsletter experiences
  • Collaborating with the engineering team, performing code review and helping to set best development practices and guidelines
  • Collaborating with Product Managers, Product Designers and other engineers to plan, design and implement business requirements
  • Working with stakeholders to solve their problems
  • Proposing and implementing new tools and technologies to accomplish product objectives

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on designing, building, and deploying production-ready code.
  • Proficiency in a modern JavaScript framework like React or Next.js.
  • Experience in a backend language such as Go or Python for building and maintaining APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing RESTful or GraphQL APIs.

  • Experience taking ownership of technical initiatives from start to finish.
