Overview
Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced taxonomist for the Non-Financial Risk Data & Analytics team in Budapest. In this role, you will guide the design, development, and management of integrated taxonomies used across the Non-Financial Risk domain. You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver solutions, including leveraging machine learning and GenAI for semantic search, knowledge graphs, recommendation engines, and question/answering capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and thought leadership on taxonomy creation and improvement.
- Manage projects including design and hands-on development of taxonomies.
- Develop and implement product capabilities related to taxonomy management and change governance.
- Participate in working groups and governance bodies for taxonomy standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in library science, information science, computer science or related discipline.
- 5+ years of taxonomy management experience in a relevant organization.
- Proficiency with taxonomy management tools (e.g., Smartlogic, PoolParty, Topbraid) and data management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of financial terminology and data structures.
- Familiarity with metadata standards, semantic technologies, and SKOS modeling.
- Experience with business/data analysis and regulatory requirements in financial services.
