Role Overview: MSFO Client Reporting Oversight, Wealth Management
This role, based out of Mumbai, primarily supports the monitoring of specific alternative investments. Secondarily, it involves conducting portfolio and performance analytics and reporting responsibilities for the Morgan Stanley Family Office (MSFO) team, which delivers custom portfolio management solutions for family office investors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support production of quarterly/semi-annual investment reports for client meeting decks, including performance, financial metrics, attribution, and other relevant items.
- Perform ongoing investment due diligence on alternative investment strategies, focusing on private equity and co-investments in private companies.
- Analyze existing managers regarding their investment process, track record, attribution, portfolio construction, and risk management capabilities.
- Review performance of private company co-investments, including financial metrics, business plans, funding needs, and value creation.
- Conduct regular update calls with managers and private companies on various investments.
- Run analytics and support the creation and maintenance of dashboards to facilitate the investment process, including data entry and initial content production.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with Finance experience and an understanding of alternative investments and private markets.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, attention to detail, and an interest in learning about the investment process.
- Excellent written and spoken English and business communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge and extensive firsthand experience with Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Comfort juggling multiple priorities; strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently to meet critical deadlines for client deliverables.
- Persistence, tenacity, and a drive for results.
