Associate - Client Onboarding & Regulatory Data Services at Morgan Stanley
Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate to join the Client Onboarding and Regulatory Data Services team. This role focuses on supporting control aspects and vendor oversight in the initiation and ongoing management of client accounts, related client information, associated settlement instructions, and various supporting projects.
As part of the Operations division, this Associate level position within Core Services is crucial for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across multiple businesses and products.
Team Profile: Client Onboarding and Regulatory Data Services (CORDS)
CORDS delivers industry utility solutions by aligning functions, people, processes, and tools into core disciplines, offering tailored client service that is efficient, controlled, and compliant with regulation. The Institutional Reference Data Services team, a Control Team within CORDS, specifically supports the control aspects and vendor oversight for client account setup and maintenance. This includes supporting Listed Derivatives, Equity and Fixed Income cash products, Prime Brokerage, FX, and non-cash products like derivatives.
You will play a critical and active role in day-to-day operations, providing first-class support by reviewing, authorizing, and ensuring the proper and timely setup and maintenance of accounts and settlement instructions by vendors. This is an excellent opportunity to be a key member of the North America control team, positioning yourself for future career growth within Morgan Stanley. Your responsibilities will also include handling ad hoc requests, updating and authorizing Firm instructions, managing special projects, conducting UAT testing of enhancements, and onboarding new processes as required.
What You'll Do In The Role
- Execute processes/functions and support process management and project efforts, leveraging knowledge of relevant systems, markets, and instruments.
- Recognize risk in day-to-day processes, identifying key issues, and contributing to process improvements.
- Build relationships within the team and with internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to enhance team output.
- Participate in projects and initiatives, assisting in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution.
- Provide first-class support by reviewing, authorizing, and ensuring the proper and timely setup of accounts, maintenance of accounts, and settlement instructions completed by a vendor.
- Be responsible for ad hoc requests, updating and authorizing Firm instructions, special projects as needed, UAT testing of enhancements, and onboarding new processes as required.

- At least 2 years' relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
