Overview
Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is seeking an Asset Management Associate to support the preservation and financial growth of a diverse portfolio of institutional grade real estate assets. The role focuses primarily on multifamily, industrial, and triple-net leased properties valued in excess of $9 billion.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage commercial real estate investments from transaction close through disposition.
- Assist in forecasting, leasing/investment analysis, and budget preparation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on revenues, expenses, occupancy, and market trends.
- Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc financial reports and internal valuation calculations.
- Support property tax tracking and research market conditions for informed decision-making.
Team & Reporting
This role is within the Eaton Vance Real Estate Investment Group and reports to a Senior Asset Manager. Close collaboration with the Director of Asset Management, Asset Managers, and Fund Administration is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, or similar.
- 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis or commercial real estate.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of Argus, RealPage, and Excel modeling preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
