Position Summary
We are seeking a Construction Administrator / Coordinator to join our team! This role provides support for our field teams by coordinating all ongoing regional construction projects.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn and understand the construction process and thrives in roles with regular client interaction. They are comfortable working across departments, communicating with stakeholders at all levels, and contributing to a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for Construction Observers, Principals, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Track projects using multiple project management software platforms.
- Process monthly construction payment applications.
- Coordinate submittal and RFI receiving, review, and distribution.
- Oversee post contract AIA documents - change orders, substantial completions, construction change directive.
- Prepare, log, distribute, and track construction correspondence and other formal documentation.
- Review the organization and completeness of assigned closeout submittals.
- Generate architect-responsibility documents for closeout.
- Manage revisions of closeouts to reach compliance with contract documents.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of experience working in architecture, construction, or engineering industry required.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information confidently and professionally to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of general construction administration protocols and CSI codes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Experience with Newforma or ACC is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of AIA or contract documents preferred.
