Overview

Mood is seeking a Senior Media Buyer, Paid Growth Lead to architect and operate our next phase of digital growth. This is a hands-on operator role, managing tens of millions in annual spend, directing creative strategy, and driving a nine-figure DTC brand. You will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for building a world-class growth engine.

Mood is the category-defining DTC hemp brand with nine-figure revenue, built by performance marketers. Our mission is to get premium hemp products into millions of households and retain customers with a smart, compliance-savvy approach.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will take command of Mood's paid acquisition machine across multiple channels:

  • Manage Meta, Google/YouTube, TikTok, Snap, X, DSPs, podcasts, and AppLovin.
  • In-house media buying along with selective agency management.
  • Control creative direction including UGC strategies, short-form video, AI-generated ads, and high production value shoots.
  • Build resilient account structures, escalation playbooks, and recovery systems.
  • Create dashboards, pacing, and incrementality reads to demonstrate business impact.

Immediate Responsibilities

  • Own Meta ecosystem end to end including buying, daily optimization, and account hygiene.
  • Command Google/YouTube as a secondary engine.
  • Extend reach into podcasts and AppLovin with test-and-scale frameworks.
  • Begin in-housing outsourced media functions and evaluate what to keep external.

60–120 Day Priorities

  • Scale profitably by focusing on high-LTV customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with the data team to shape offers, pricing, and retention strategies.
  • Diversify into at least two new channels with validated test loops.
  • Innovate with next-gen landing pages using CRO frameworks and A/B testing.

Requirements

  • Proven performance managing $100M+ lifetime spend, $10M+ in single account.
  • Strong multi-channel expertise in Meta and Google.
  • Experience in restricted categories (CBD, supplements, etc.).
  • Hands-on creative operator skilled at briefing and iterating winning creative.
  • CRO fluency with demonstrable impact on conversion rates.
  • Proficiency with attribution tools like TripleWhale, GA4, Mixpanel, and MMMs.
  • Leadership capability to coach junior buyers while engaging directly in platform tasks.

Nice to Have

  • Track record scaling daily spend from $50K/day to $150K+/day.
  • Experience building UGC/creator systems and offline DSP testing.
  • Experience in hemp, supplements, or telehealth sectors.
