About the Role
Monzo Bank is on a mission to make money work for everyone, by changing the traditional banking approach. In this role as Senior Financial Crime Investigator Business Banking EU Fluent Spanish and English, you will help investigate complex or high-risk anti-money laundering alerts on business accounts, recommend Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR), make business onboarding decisions in high-risk cases, and conduct ongoing due diligence on high-risk business accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate complex financial crime alerts on business accounts.
- Recommend Suspicious Transaction Reports when necessary.
- Make informed business onboarding decisions in high-risk cases.
- Conduct due diligence on high-risk business accounts.
- Provide financial crime expertise across operational teams.
Qualifications
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish at CEFR C1 level or higher.
- Experience in high-risk business banking screening and complex financial crime investigations.
- Experience making independent, risk-based decisions in a regulated financial service environment.
- Knowledge of the financial crime landscape in the UK and EU.
Working Hours and Additional Information
The role entails working 8.5 hours per day with coverage from 7am to 6.30pm, including one weekend shift out of four. The role starts on Monday 5th January with an 8-week no holiday period. It is remote based in the UK, with additional support for work-from-home setups, MacBooks provided, and a welcoming benefits package including share options, learning budget, and birthday off where applicable.
