The Engineering Manager Role

This role centers on three pillars: people, product, and technical leadership. As an Engineering Manager at Monzo, you will be accountable for delivery outcomes, fostering engineering excellence, coaching a team of 7-10 engineers, and partnering with senior technical leaders to drive best practices across the organization.

What You Will Do

• Take accountability for delivery across squads.
• Foster high engineering standards and coach your team.
• Partner with Product Managers and Technical Leads for decision making.
• Drive technical initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to company-wide standards.

The Interview Process

The process starts with an informal recruiting call, followed by a Loop stage featuring team management, system design, behavioral interviews, and a reverse interview. This thorough process typically takes 3-4 weeks.
