Overview

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is one of the largest integrated sports and entertainment companies in the country. MSE owns and operates multiple major sports teams and media enterprises, including the Capital One Arena where the Audio Assistant will support live events.

Position Overview

The Audio Assistant is responsible for the setup and operation of sound equipment during live events. You will assist with setting up field audio for assigned games and events at Capital One Arena.

Responsibilities

  • Setup microphones, mic stands, and audio equipment for performers and bands.
  • Prepare speaker and microphone systems for pre/post game events.
  • Set up audio equipment in interview rooms including mixers and mult-boxes.
  • Mix audio for smaller events as directed and resolve technical issues.
  • Distribute and retrieve wireless and hard-wired audio equipment.
  • Run cables and patch audio lines for in-house use.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sound and in-house Sound Engineers.
  • Perform additional tasks and support sound quality enhancement.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have experience in sound for sporting events, concerts or theater. Prior experience with Shure wireless, sound boards, mixing, troubleshooting, and excellent manual dexterity is required. A background in live sound for at least 3-5 years or a BA in Sound is preferred.

Compensation

This part-time/seasonal role pays $38.00 USD per hour.
