About the Role
The Manager, Technical Account Manager is responsible for leading and growing a team of Technical Account Managers. This role drives customer adoption, technical success, and long-term value while building a high-performing, customer-obsessed TAM organization. You will manage, mentor, and scale your team while maintaining strong customer relationships and tackling complex technical engagements.
What You’ll Do
- Team Leadership & Development: Hire, onboard, coach, and develop TAMs; set clear goals and career paths; provide feedback and mentorship.
- Customer Impact & Strategy: Oversee technical relationships; act as escalation for complex challenges; ensure best practice delivery in data observability and reliability.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to integrate customer insights and drive account strategy.
- Operational Excellence: Define success metrics; track customer outcomes and team performance; continuously improve processes.
You’re a Fit If You Have
- 7+ years in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., TAM, Solutions Architect, Technical CSM).
- 2+ years managing technical customer-facing teams.
- Strong understanding of modern data technologies (SQL, cloud data warehouses, orchestration tools).
- Proven ability to develop technical talent and deliver customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data & AI observability, monitoring, or analytics SaaS platforms.
- Experience scaling customer-facing teams in high-growth startups.
- Familiarity with enterprise customer success and complex account management.
