Product Builder - Data & AI

Company: Montale Parfums Contract: CDD (6 months) Type: Full-time Location: Paris 8th Salary: Based on profile Experience: 2-5 years Start Date: As soon as possible

About Montale Parfums

Founded in 2003 by Pierre Montale, Montale Parfums is a niche perfumery house renowned for its unique olfactory creations, inspired by the mysteries and richness of the East. Combining artisanal know-how, rare ingredients, and a strong identity, the brand has established itself as an essential reference in high-end perfumery, both in France and internationally. Montale Parfums has an iconic boutique in Paris (8th arrondissement) and an international e-commerce site: montaleparfums.com.

Context of the Role

The house is undertaking a significant project: to lay the foundation for its data management and, in parallel, develop custom tools leveraging data and AI to improve decision-making across several business verticals. The function you will occupy does not yet exist – you will create it. You will build a complete end-to-end system in a human-sized company where the impact of your work is immediate and visible. You will work under the supervision of an experienced Lead Product Manager. The foundations laid during this mission are intended to transform into a permanent role within the company.

What You Will Build

  • A structured data foundation – the company's central repository, with a relational architecture connecting key entities and making them usable by business teams.
  • An intelligent search engine enabling teams to query the company's documentary heritage using natural language. You will build the complete pipeline: ingestion, processing, user interface.
  • Decision support tools that cross-reference internal data and external signals to objectify operational management. Scoring, alerts, dashboards.
  • Connectors and automations between internal data sources, external feeds, and the central repository.
  • A Business Intelligence and Data Visualization layer to make the data in the foundation readable and actionable by decision-makers.

How You Will Work

Development will rely on AI-assisted coding tools (Antigravity, Claude Code) as a production method. Light stack: vector database, LLM API, React, Airtable. Agile methodology, short sprints. Concrete deliverables every two weeks. Evolving specifications – we build, we show, we test, we adjust.

Key Skills

  • Technical & AI Aptitude: Understanding of data pipelines and APIs. Concrete experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, or equivalent) for development and automation. A personal project to showcase is a strong signal.
  • Data Modeling & Architecture: Proficiency in data modeling: identifying entities, their relationships, and missing data to make a system usable.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Rigor in structuring, cleaning, and documenting data as the foundation of any reliable system.
  • Consulting & Field Diagnosis Posture: Approach to analyzing and understanding real needs before implementing any solution: stakeholder interviews, process mapping, translation into technical specifications.
  • Communication & Business Impact: Clear reporting to non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable specifications, delivering tools adopted by teams.
  • Autonomy & Transparency: Ability to operate in a less structured environment, quickly take on new subjects, and clearly report on roadblocks.

The Ideal Profile

This role is at the intersection of tech and business. We are looking for someone who understands that a tool only has value if it solves a real problem, and who has the ability to navigate between business vision and technical execution. You don't build for the sake of building – you build so that someone can make better decisions.
