About the Agile Specialist Role
The Agile Specialist at Monks reports to the Manager, Agile Practices and works with key stakeholders to solve important technical problems. This role focuses on facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring project milestones are met.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Lead continuous planning and maintain rolling quarter plans.
- Manage engineering team schedules and resource planning.
- Track project milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and timelines.
- Remove obstacles to ensure team progress and productivity.
- Promote agile best practices and educate team members.
- Coordinate communication between teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering on backlog management.
- Support JIRA management and related tools.
- Provide agile performance metrics like burndown charts and velocity tracking.
About You
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of agile environment experience using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
