Leadership Development Manager
MongoDB is seeking a dynamic Leadership Development Manager to play a critical role in our continued growth. This position is instrumental in identifying future skill needs, designing innovative learning experiences, and ensuring our People Managers are equipped with the capabilities to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape. You will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling impactful learning experiences that empower people managers to embody our values, serve our customers, and ultimately foster a stronger culture and accelerate performance. This role is a key part of the Culture, Talent, and Development (CTD) leadership team, which oversees a comprehensive suite of programs including leadership development, employee learning, talent management, engagement, listening, and inclusion.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and facilitate live Leadership Development programs, both directly and through train-the-trainer strategies.
- Influence and support other teams in integrating leadership development into their existing training and experiences.
- Program manage development initiatives, creating scalable solutions for enrollment, accountability, and impact measurement.
- Program manage coaching programs, including vendor relations, invoicing, stakeholder alignment, and participation/impact measurement.
- Design on-demand learning and AI-supported experiences aligned with our content roadmap to ensure strong learning outcomes for diverse audiences.
- Orchestrate cross-project alignment by identifying interdependencies, assessing change impacts, and driving clear, priority-based decisions.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across all levels, ensuring clear understanding of ownership, timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure alignment of deliverables, priorities, and resources with business objectives and other People Team initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in designing, delivering, and program managing Leadership Development programs.
- Proven track record of delivering strategic and tactical solutions in fast-paced, high-change environments, preferably in SaaS.
- Excellence in instructional design, creating engaging learning experiences across various formats: Classroom (in-person, virtual, hybrid), On-Demand (courses, microlearning, videos), and Self-Paced resources.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate leadership development experiences with subject matter expertise in core leadership and management skills (performance management, communication, inclusion, etc.).
- Expertise in learning program management, including needs assessments, solution design, and impact measurement for continuous improvement.
- Experience managing external vendors, including contractors and coaches, to supplement internal L&D offerings.
- Ability to customize learning experiences and content for individual business units.
- Exceptional written communication skills and high-quality project documentation.
- Proven program management capability in planning, prioritizing, and delivering multiple concurrent initiatives on time and within scope.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience managing learning on an LMS, Docebo preferred.
- Coaching certification from ICF, CPCC, Hogan, or comparable accreditation.
- Proficiency in course authoring software, Articulate Rise preferred.
- Previous experience managing people in a direct manager capacity.
- Experience leveraging AI-supported platforms to scale and optimize training initiatives.
