What The Role Is

MAS is working on multiple fronts to ensure our financial institutions and workforce are positioned well to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are seeking a dynamic early-mid career professional to deliver initiatives that will strengthen the AI capabilities of Singapore’s financial sector and our workforce.

As a Business Analyst for AI initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in driving responsible AI innovation across Singapore’s financial industry. Working within our Financial Infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence Office (FIA), you will be instrumental in developing strategies and initiatives that advance Singapore's digital financial infrastructure whilst serving our broader economy. This position offers the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI developments and practical financial sector applications, ensuring that Singapore remains a global leader in financial innovation.

This role involves analysing and reporting on AI related developments in Singapore and internationally, that are relevant to Singapore’s Financial Sector. You will engage with banks, insurers, FinTechs, and technology leaders to curate use-cases, industry-validated solutions and best practices.

What You Will Be Working On

• Research and identify new opportunities and best practices in AI and technology for financial institutions, helping to shape industry standards through your insights and analysis
• Engage with banks, insurers, FinTechs, and technology leaders to curate use-cases, industry-validated solutions and best practices
• Conceptualise, advise and review response indicators and analytics for initiatives, ensuring robust measurement of programme effectiveness and impact
• Conduct comprehensive content reviews and accuracy assessments

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial services, technology consulting, business analysis, or AI/data analytics
• Experience with business process mapping, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management across diverse organisational levels
• Strong analytical and research skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies
• Understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, machine learning applications, and emerging technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing technical content and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, FinTech, Information Technology, or related field
• Background in AI implementation projects or digital transformation initiatives within financial institutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for advanced data analysis
• Experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Experience in payments, capital markets, insurance or banking sectors
• Experience working in a multicultural, international business environment

This will be a 1-year contract. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
