The Opportunity: Finance Business Partner, R&D and Product
We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Strategic Finance team, collaborating closely with the R&D, Product, and Product Design organizations. This high-impact, global role is based in Tel Aviv, offering the chance to work directly with senior leadership. You will provide critical financial insights that underpin strategic decisions, driving faster and more informed choices.
Your contributions will directly shape how monday.com invests in innovation, scales product teams efficiently, and makes crucial decisions regarding long-term product growth. You will serve as the primary finance partner for leaders steering our technology roadmap, ensuring optimal alignment between headcount, budgets, and overarching company strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a dedicated business partner to senior leaders within R&D, Product, and Product Design, providing clear financial insights and structured recommendations to support decision-making.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for all R&D functions globally.
- Develop sophisticated financial models to address strategic questions, including headcount growth, team restructuring, vendor investments, or long-term product cost analysis.
- Deliver concise reporting and data-driven narratives for monthly Budget vs. Actual (BvA) reviews, OKR planning sessions, and quarterly executive meetings.
- Support capital allocation processes, prioritizing financial resources effectively across product initiatives and innovation roadmaps.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or business partnering, ideally within a tech or SaaS company.
- Proven track record of successfully supporting R&D, Product, or Engineering organizations.
- Exceptional modeling and forecasting skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex financial data.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, enabling you to anticipate needs and identify opportunities proactively.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities, capable of translating complex numbers into actionable strategic insights for both product and technical audiences.
- High comfort level working in a global, fast-paced, and collaborative organizational environment.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience supporting headcount-intensive teams (e.g., R&D, engineering, design) across multiple geographical locations.
- Familiarity with product cost frameworks, such as R&D as a percentage of revenue, efficiency metrics, and ROI analysis on innovation.
- An understanding of the dynamics inherent in multi-product organizations.
