Monash University is seeking a Research Assistant - Wiser Health Care to support high-quality research within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. This role involves contributing to health services research, implementation science, and evidence synthesis projects at 553 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
The Opportunity
Work closely with the Deputy Director and a multidisciplinary team to conduct data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, systematic reviews, ethics submissions, and manuscript preparations. This role is ideal for an early-career researcher looking to expand their skills in a leading public health environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research under limited supervision
- Handle data collection, management, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Support systematic reviews with literature searching, screening, and appraisal
- Assist with ethics submissions, draft reports, and prepare manuscripts
- Undertake research administration and coordination tasks
- Participate in research meetings and professional events
- Provide research support to postgraduate students
- Contribute to teaching-related materials as needed
About You
You are a motivated, detail-oriented individual with an honours degree or equivalent research experience. Familiarity with quantitative/qualitative methods, systematic review tools (e.g., RevMan), health databases, Qualtrics, and NVivo is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational ability, and a commitment to research integrity are essential.
