The Monad Foundation is a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders on a mission to massively grow the impact of decentralized tech with their performant and parallel EVM Layer 1 blockchain. They help decentralized apps eat the world.

The Role: Global Events

This role owns the strategy, planning, and execution of the Monad Foundation’s global event presence. You will build strong vendor and agency relationships, use data and insights to measure outcomes, and create thoughtful, memorable experiences for various audiences including builders, developers, community members, tokenholders, and both Web2 and Web3 organizations.

What You Will Do

• Events Strategy and Execution: Identify scaling opportunities for events, plan and execute from small gatherings to large international conferences, set event goals and OKRs, and perform data-driven postmortems for continuous improvement.
• Budget and Process Management: Effectively manage event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and oversee financial reconciliation post-event.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with leadership and internal teams to deliver experiences that maximize ROI while respecting regional and cultural nuances.
• Operational Excellence: Develop operational standards and playbooks ensuring consistent quality, branding and ambiance across events.

You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and creatively driven. You excel at managing multiple priorities independently, possess strong communication and decision-making skills, and can collaborate across cultures and time zones.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of significant event planning experience managing complex, multi-day events.
• Proven experience in budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Ability to work off-hours, be on-call and travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
• Experience with events across diverse geographic regions and cultural contexts.
• Strong skills in time management, project prioritization, and problem-solving under pressure.
• Knowledge of fabrication, event technology, AV production, and digital integration.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the Web3/crypto industry and fast-paced startup environments is a plus.
