Role Overview
The Lease Administrator will independently abstract commercial real estate leases and deliver accurate, client-ready abstracts in accordance with established abstraction standards. This is an output-based role intended for experienced professionals who can work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract commercial real estate leases per defined abstraction standards
- Capture key lease data including rent, escalations, term, renewals, termination rights, CAM, taxes, insurance, utilities, exclusivity, and special clauses
- Review and cross-reference amendments against original leases
- Deliver complete, accurate, and client-ready abstracts
- Meet agreed turnaround timelines
- Maintain confidentiality and data security
- Address clarification requests identified during quality control (QC) review
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial lease administration or lease abstraction experience
- Strong understanding of retail, office, and/or industrial leases
- Experience working with leases containing amendments and complex clauses
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with lease administration platforms preferred
- Reliable internet connection and remote work capability
Payment Terms & Tax Withholding
Contractors will be paid monthly based on approved abstracts completed during the month. Payments will be processed as contractor fees and are not considered salary or wages. Applicable tax withholding (including TDS) will be deducted as required under Indian tax laws. Total tax withholding will be capped at the maximum statutory rate applicable to the contractor. Contractors are responsible for their own tax filings and statutory compliance.
Independent Contractor Status
This engagement does not create an employer-employee relationship. There is no guaranteed volume of work. Contractors are responsible for their own equipment, internet access, workspace, and expenses. No benefits, leave, or overtime apply.
