About the Role
Modivcare is seeking an experienced Claims Manager II to oversee claims intake operations for the Legal Department. The role includes managing insurance claims related to personal, property, and casualty loss while ensuring compliance with operational, financial, and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Claims Reporting Process: Acts as the primary contact for insurance claims, reports claims and litigation to insurers, and coordinates with adjusters and advocates.
Pre-litigation Claims: Communicates with claimants and attorneys, investigates claims, gathers necessary documentation, and coordinates with internal counsel and external stakeholders for early resolution.
Manage Claims Handling Process: Develops best practices, leads claim reviews, implements procedures to increase efficiency, and provides analysis of adjuster performance.
Manage Significant Incident Process: Oversees Tier 1 incidents, participates in emergency calls, evaluates incidents, reports to insurers, and ensures legal holds are implemented in a timely manner.
Litigation Management: Collaborates with internal and outside counsel and insurance carriers, facilitates timely claim payments, and supports mediations and legal proceedings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of experience in managing large claims and claims processes or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong knowledge of claims processing, excellent attention to detail, data entry accuracy, intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and superior communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary ranges from $92,500 to $124,900 with bonus eligibility based on performance.
