Overview

Moderna is seeking a motivated Research Associate with a strong background in immunology and spectral flow cytometry. Join the Therapeutics Translational Research (TxTR) team in Experimental Immunology to support assay development and key program decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute high-parameter spectral flow cytometry assays on human immune cells.
  • Develop robust sample processing workflows and data analysis pipelines.
  • Lead cytometry assay development, QC, and instrument maintenance.
  • Perform immune cell functional assays including MSD, EliSpot/FluoroSpot, and co-culture assays.
  • Conduct high-parameter spectral cell sorting for downstream applications.
  • Draft and optimize SOPs and document experimental results.
  • Collaborate across teams for regulatory submissions, reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure a safe, compliant, and organized lab environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • BA/BS in Immunology, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with primary human immune cells and functional assays.
  • Expertise in spectral and conventional flow cytometry and cell sorting.
  • Familiarity with mRNA therapeutics is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as OMIQ.
