Overview
Moderna is seeking a motivated Research Associate with a strong background in immunology and spectral flow cytometry. Join the Therapeutics Translational Research (TxTR) team in Experimental Immunology to support assay development and key program decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute high-parameter spectral flow cytometry assays on human immune cells.
- Develop robust sample processing workflows and data analysis pipelines.
- Lead cytometry assay development, QC, and instrument maintenance.
- Perform immune cell functional assays including MSD, EliSpot/FluoroSpot, and co-culture assays.
- Conduct high-parameter spectral cell sorting for downstream applications.
- Draft and optimize SOPs and document experimental results.
- Collaborate across teams for regulatory submissions, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and organized lab environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- BA/BS in Immunology, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with primary human immune cells and functional assays.
- Expertise in spectral and conventional flow cytometry and cell sorting.
- Familiarity with mRNA therapeutics is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as OMIQ.
