About the Systems Engineer Role

Modern Technology Solutions Inc is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership in developing, documenting, and integrating design specifications, system requirements, and test plans. You will join a team of senior executives, project managers, data scientists, and engineers to ensure the technical integrity of assigned missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for development and integration of hardware/software systems.
• Lead creation and review of systems engineering documentation including System Engineering Plans, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Manage system requirements to deliver production systems in line with defined architectures.
• Support planning and test analysis for DoD and other Government Certification and Accreditation processes.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities and manage configuration control.
• Generate alternative system concepts and design solutions while ensuring system baseline integrity.
• Develop scenarios, operational concepts, and design alternatives focused on lifecycle cost and risk management.
• Support innovation and digital transformation initiatives across MTSI.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years work experience in similar Federal Government programs and contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent additional experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teaming abilities.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph with eligibility for Full Scope Polygraph.
• For education: High School Diploma with 12+ years of related experience or Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience may be considered.
