Data Visualization Intern
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Data Visualization Intern to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position offers the possibility of remote work.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Digital Data Services (DDS) team in gathering and analyzing process-related data, identifying key metrics and trends for visualization.
- Create compelling data visualizations using Power BI to clearly communicate complex information.
- Develop visual components for a playbook to guide the organization in inventorying and documenting processes.
- Aid in creating training materials or workshops for departments on using data visualization tools and interpreting visualizations.
- Contribute to the comprehensive documentation of data sources, visualization methodologies, and best practices.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Familiarity with programming languages like R or Python for data manipulation.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics in data presentation.
