Original Job Summary

Overview

The Customer Advocate Cash Out is responsible for processing loan applications in compliance with mortgage lending and applicable investor guidelines. The role includes analyzing loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, reviewing title commitments, ordering subordinations, allocating fees, and ensuring all documentation is complete prior to submission for underwriting approval.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary customer contact and liaison between the borrower, underwriter and loan advisor.
  • Validate loan application data and ensure accurate entry into the Loan Origination System.
  • Maintain communication with borrowers for document submissions and quality feedback to the team.
  • Run AUS and compliance engines to confirm loan eligibility and readiness for underwriting.
  • Monitor loan process and manage pipeline to meet monthly funding goals.

Additional Duties

Review and update processing checklists, escalate non-qualifying loans, and coordinate with third parties for necessary documentation such as insurance, payoffs and verifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; BA preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in mortgage loan processing for full doc loans or similar role.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with mortgage process flows and SLAs.
