Job Description
Field Application Engineer
Mobileye is seeking a dedicated Field Application Engineer to support automotive OEMs in deploying Mobileye products. This role requires significant on-site presence at customer locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Debug issues on base technology at customer Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems and vehicles.
- Travel frequently to customer sites across the USA (Florida, California, Texas) and to manufacturing plants in Mexico.
- Support software/firmware flashing on next-generation Mobileye Electronic Control Units at customer sites.
- Understand, analyze, and provide technical solutions for complex problems.
- Gain firsthand experience and contribute to building advanced autonomous driving technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer, Resident Engineer, or System Verification Engineer in the automotive industry.
- Deep understanding of embedded systems and debug interfaces (JTAG, UART, Ethernet).
- Experience with external memories (eMMC, NOR, SPI).
- Knowledge of protocols such as TFTP, SFTP, SCP, UDS, and Over-the-Air updates.
- Hands-on experience with test benches and working test vehicles.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on Base Software.
- Knowledge of communication buses and protocols like CAN, CANFD, ETH, SOMEIP.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to travel on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of System/SW/Validation experience in the automotive industry, ADAS experience preferred.
- Experience with Vector debugging tools (CANoe, CANanalyzer).
- Advanced system/software analysis and debug skills on test benches and vehicles.
- Ability to identify and analyze hardware issues.
- Knowledge of ECU manufacturing and cybersecurity concepts.
