About the Role

The Copy Editor - Live Events and Marketing at MJH Life Sciences is responsible for ensuring that all print and online materials meet high standards of accuracy, quality, and style consistency. The role involves editing content for various platforms including websites, email campaigns, social media, live events, and promotional agency documents.

Responsibilities

• Copyedit electronic and print materials for a professional health care audience including websites, email campaigns, social media, banner ads, and event materials.
• Proofread and correct electronic files, page proofs, and final artwork, ensuring correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
• Identify inconsistencies and suggest improvements in language clarity, headlines, and display type.
• Maintain high quality work under tight deadlines.
• Follow corporate branding and trademark guidelines explicitly.
• Utilize approved AI tools for editing and quality reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience with AMA Manual of Style 11th Edition.
• Minimum 3 years of editing/fact-checking experience, preferably in medical/scientific publishing or an agency environment.
• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, AI tools, and content management systems.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 per year, with additional eligibility for annual bonus programs or commission incentives. Comprehensive benefits include a hybrid work schedule, health insurance, vision, pharmacy benefits, retirement plans, commuter benefits, and more.
