The Account Executive will be responsible for working with Executive Directors in the leadership, direction, and management of multiple Oncology State Societies. In conjunction with State Society leadership, the Account Executive will work with the assigned Executive Director to develop and implement strategies to support the mission and goals of each Society and promote revenue, profitability, and growth. The Account Executive maintains awareness of the Scope of Work for each Society and works collaboratively with (c) Management, Inc.(CMI)/MJH Life Sciences Inc. (MJH), leadership and staff to ensure each Society receives quality services and products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of business objectives and organizational policies to ensure consistent management strategies across each Society.
  • Assist State Society leadership to draft, monitor, and update by-laws, policies, and procedures; oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of member programs, educational offerings, meetings, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Help implement each society’s strategic goals. Provide guidance to board leadership, participate in strategic planning, and offer thought leadership.
  • Assisting in the stewardship of Society assets; oversee the development and management of annual budgets and inform board leadership on financial and operational issues.
  • Maintain strong and effective relationships with board leadership; build and maintain strong relationships with Society members, industry sponsors, and strategic partners.
  • Work closely with Executive Directors and teams in Meetings, Membership, Marketing, Development, and Education to align strategies with each society’s strategic plan.
  • Partner with the Executive Director on all matters related to state society clients, with the goal of independently managing client relationships over time.
  • Identify new business opportunities for client management, industry sponsorships, and strategic partnerships; identify educational /out of scope projects that enhance the mission of each state.
  • Represent CMI & Society clients at Board and Committee meetings, industry meetings and trade shows, developing and delivering presentations as appropriate.
  • Assist the Executive Director team with tasks such as coordinating board elections, processing invoices, managing board activities, and handling additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to think strategically, conceptualize projects/programs, and deliver high-quality final products. Effective communicator with proven ability to develop and deliver presentations to a wide range of audiences.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for extensive interaction with clients, prospective clients, and leaders in healthcare.
  • Strong financial skills with experience managing client and program budgets and ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proven team skills; effectively at building coalitions and encouraging collaboration among staff, board members, and external partners.
  • Customer service focused and proactive in meeting client needs.
  • Able to maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
  • Ability to think strategically and use independent judgment.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines for multiple clients.
  • MS proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

This position is fully remote. Approximately 30% overnight travel is an essential function of this position.
