About The Role
As a Solutions Engineer at Mixpanel, you will be crucial in demonstrating the value of Mixpanel's capabilities to a diverse range of prospects. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Account Managers, and the Country Manager, acting as a trusted advisor to customers. Your primary goal will be to connect Mixpanel's solutions directly to their specific business needs.
The ideal Solutions Engineer is agile, capable of clearly articulating the technical benefits and requirements of Mixpanel to developers and product managers, while also effectively communicating the product's strategic value to high-level executives.
Your Journey at Mixpanel
Within your first month:
- Become a Mixpanel expert, mastering both features and functionality, as well as implementation processes.
- Shadow customer calls and demos with experienced Sales Engineers and Account Executives to learn our value proposition.
- Receive comprehensive training on Mixpanel’s internal systems and tools to ensure a successful start.
Within your first three months:
- Actively participate in deal cycles alongside Account Executives.
- Lead technical qualifications for customer use cases and deliver tailored product demonstrations to prospects.
- Develop a deep understanding of Mixpanel’s implementation across all platforms, enabling you to guide customers to optimal solutions.
- Play a critical role in setting clear expectations for successful Mixpanel implementations, preparing both internal and external teams for long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor, offering strategic consultation on data architecture, governance, instrumentation, and business outcomes to prospects.
- Effectively communicate and consult at all levels of a customer’s organization to build trust and influence buying decisions.
- Bridge the technical-business gap by working with high-level business stakeholders to define success metrics for proof of concepts and ensure successful execution.
- Leverage your Mixpanel expertise, technical acumen, and consultative skills to impart best practices throughout proof-of-concept projects.
- Partner with Account Executives to drive revenue growth, serving as the primary technical contact for customers.
- Collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure the pre-sales value proposition translates into tangible post-sales success.
- Complete RFPs and Security Questionnaires diligently.
- Work cross-functionally with various departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Legal.
- Actively utilize Salesforce to track deal activity and document customer requirements.
- Act as the “Voice of the Prospect” by gathering feedback from potential Mixpanel customers and relaying it to the Product team.
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 5 years of experience in B2B SaaS Sales Engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of qualifying and selling technical solutions to executive stakeholders.
- Native Hebrew and fluent English language skills; ability to travel is required.
- Experience with one or more core web and mobile technologies (e.g., JavaScript, iOS, Android, Ruby).
- Working knowledge of data tools and languages such as Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with databases and cloud data warehouses like Google Cloud (BigQuery), Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Databricks.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline considerations (reliability, monitoring, managed vs. custom solutions).
- Knowledge of the product analytics landscape, including CDPs, messaging tools, and other analytics providers.
- Experience consulting customers on achievable outcomes and demonstrating the transformative power of new tooling.
- Proven ability to work with VP and C-level clients to define strategic visions and effectively leverage those relationships to achieve objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels, from discussing API specifics with developers to advising CTOs on optimal data architecture.
